Join the Friends of Laupus Library for 2016!

We seek your help in support of the William E. Laupus Health Sciences Library. For nearly 50 years, Laupus Library has served Health Sciences Division students, faculty and staff, and together we have partnered in the amazing transformation of a fledgling health sciences program into a fully developed academic health center.  As we approach the fiftieth anniversary of the Health Sciences Library in 2019, we celebrate our history and recognize our challenges.

In July of 2009, the Friends of Laupus Library was established in an effort to provide much needed advocacy and support for the Library. Since then, the Friends have sponsored events and educational programs for the Division and the regional health community.  The Friends plan to continue their work on our behalf in 2016.  On March 8, 2016, Laupus Library and the Friends will sponsor “Visions of Nature,” as part of the “Art as Avocation” exhibit series.  The exhibit will showcase the photography collection of Mr. Steven Lichti and be on display through June 1 in the 4th floor gallery of Laupus Library.  On November 15, 2016 the Friends will again co-sponsor the annual Health Sciences Author Recognition Awards program. We received many wonderful comments from participants in this year’s program.  The Friends also have plans to sponsor several activities and programs that help our studying students.

In order for the Friends to continue their work on behalf of the Division, they need our help.  Your membership in the Friends can make a real difference in the capacity of the Friends to support the Laupus Library and its programs for the Division. We invite you to join the Friends to help ensure that these and other programs can continue.  We offer membership at a wide variety of levels and methods of payment, including payroll deduction.  Student membership is as low as $25.00 annually.

For an enrollment form and mailing information please visit the Friends of Laupus Library website. Should you wish to receive a mailed brochure and enrollment form please contact Kelly Rogers Dilda at rogerske@ecu.edu.

Please join us as Friends of Laupus Library as we contribute to the growth and success of the Library and the Division of Health Sciences.
