Celebrating 100 Years of Public Health Nursing in North Carolina
This year marks 100 years of state-funded public health nursing— an important anniversary in North Carolina health care. To celebrate, Laupus Library is displaying health nursing artifacts from The Country Doctor Museum and archival materials from History Collections in a small exhibit located on the library’s second floor.
Featured artifacts include a public health nurse’s bag, sponge bowl, first aid supplies and a sterilizer tray.Manuscripts on display include issues of the North Carolina Health Bulletin and programs from the North Carolina Public Health Association Annual Meetings.
The exhibit will be on display through November 3rd.
