Upcoming Medical History Interest Group Lecture on Monday April 10

Join E. Daniel Shingleton, public health historian, on Monday April 10, 2017 at 4:30PM at the Evelyn Fike Laupus Gallery on the 4th Floor of Laupus Library as he provides an overview of the formative years of public health services in North Carolina.

He will show how Drs. Thomas F. Wood and Solomon S. Satchwell played critical roles in the formation of the North Carolina State Board of Health in 1877. The related importance of the North Carolina Medical Society will also be outlined.

This lecture is co-sponsored by Laupus History Collections and the Department of Bioethics and Interdisciplinary Studies and is a Wellness Passport event.
